This is an exciting singing venture for Newbury and Thatcham, first set up as Trinity Community Choir in September 2014 by Caroline Snowdon and Angie Creed. Whilst the choir is based at Winchcombe School, Newbury, it is a true 'Community Choir' - involving any member of the local community who wishes to share our joy of singing.
The choir is a not for profit organisation and therefore all money paid by members is used to pay for ongoing choir expenses.
We welcome males and females of all ages (from 18 - 118!) - with or without previous singing experience. You don't have to read music to be part of the choir, plus you won't need to audition but you WILL need a lot of enthusiasm and a passion for singing! There is a small fee per session for adults and this is reduced for students. Fees are payable termly in advance, which pays for sheet music, a professional piano accompanist and for our superb Music Director, Sue Garcia-Sierra

Sue started her professional career as a Vocal Coach and Accompanist at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff where she gained valuable experience working alongside distinguished singing teachers, observing a broad selection of teaching styles and coaching singing pupils in notation, technique and language skills.
Besides directing Three Rivers Community Choir, Sue is also Head of Performance at Kennet School and co-ordinates the school's extensive extra-curricular music provision. This includes directing several large-scale choirs, instrumental ensembles and musical theatre productions with performances at high profile venues such as Douai Abbey, Shaw House, Reading Hexagon, Englefield House and Highclere Castle. Sue is especially passionate about the wide ranging benefits of singing and making it accessible to all, regardless of age or prior experience. |
